The Issue: Puppies Exposed to Pathogens in Shelters
Puppies living in shelters are in close proximity to a large number of other dogs, where they face a high risk of contracting a disease. Puppies are also especially susceptible to the various pathogens that infiltrate shelters. Once contracted, these pathogens can often lead to death.
The Campaign: Funding Vaccinations for New Puppies
If 60 people donate $10, then Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue can fund a first round of vaccinations for 30 homeless puppies. Each additional $20 raised will fund a round of vaccinations for another puppy. After puppies are accepted into the rescue, a veterinarian immediately vaccinates them to ensure they do not spread dangerous diseases. Puppies also receive a complete medical-care assessment and treatment.

Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
Each year, Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue takes in nearly 1,000 abandoned and neglected companion animals and helps them find loving, permanent homes. Every animal it rescues receives full medical care—including spay or neutering treatments, vaccines, microchips, and deworming. Through weekend adoption events, applications, and home visits, Louie’s Legacy ensures that each animal is placed with a caring and responsible family and less likely to end up back on the streets.
