Q:

The Process

Helen S.  asked on  Sep 4, 2012

A:

Laser Hair Removal works by destroying the root at the bottom of the hair follicle. Laser Hair Removal is NOT permanent hair removal but more of permanent hair reduction. You should see about a 70% to 80% reduction in growth from 6 treatments. We have been in Louisville for 10 years and no facility should ever guarantee you that you will never shave again. Maintenance treatments might be needed in the future. You have three different stages of hair growth and the goal is to hit all three at least twice to experience the reduction. Some people do see 100% reduction in growth in 6 treatments but it is not guaranteed. Unfortunately Blonde and Gray hair DOES NOT work for Laser Hair Removal. The hair must have pigment (color) for the laser to pick it up effectively. Overall the experience is amazing and one of the best things you can do for yourself.

More Questions and Answers

Q:

How do you prep for the underarm laser hair removal? Are there things you shouldn't do before or after having it done?

Ashley M.  asked on  Sep 10, 2012

A:

Clean shave the night before your treatment. Clean shaving any body part before a treatment allows the laser less time to get to the root. The Medical staff does not need to see the hair to treat the area. Avoid excessive heat exposé for a few hours after treatment to avoid a heat rash.

Q:

What if I get waxed? Can I still come get a treatment after gettin waxed?

Sara R.  asked on  Sep 10, 2012

A:

The root must be present for laser hair removal to be effective. You would need to wait at least 21 days after waxing to receive treatment. If we treat you without the root being in the growth stage your treatment will not be effective.

Q:

I did the Brazilian and just finished my 6th treatment. After my 5th, it started growing back. So far after the 6th it has been smooth but I am afraid it will grow back again. Should I buy another 6 treatments for it? The lady who did my treatment said this almost never happens.

Casey W.  asked on  Sep 6, 2012

A:

Thanks for the question! Please call the business at (502) 499-6608, as they may need more information to determine if additional treatments are appropriate for you.

A:

I would pick up another Medium so you can always have them for Maintenence. They NEVER expire once the Groupon has been turned in and you start your treatments.

Q:

What prep does a client need to do before a Brazillian? One sourse said to shave before hand and another said to let the hair grow before a treatment.

Hilary H.  asked on  Sep 6, 2012

A:

Always clean shave the best you can before the treatment. This gives the laser less time to travel down the hair follicle and get to the root. We do not need to see the hair to treat, the staff can tell by the pore size which levels to set the laser for maximum treatment.

Q:

Is the full face and neck for guys? If so how well does it normaly turn out. It's not worth it if it's going to be really patchy.

Chase V.  asked on  Sep 5, 2012

A:

Face for Men is pretty successful. Believe it or not the thicker, coarser, darker the hair is the better laser hair removal works which is the reason the Mens face works so well. Hair does not always grow exactly the same thickness in all areas on the face, although it may seem by looking at it, it's not the case. You may possibly be patchy for the first three treatments because the laser is taking a better effect on some areas on the face that are the thickest but eventually as you progress in your treatments it will catch up and become even.
