I have only taken one of my two intro to knitting classes, but I have not put down my needles since the class. I cannot wait until my second class, althought I dont want it to end. :) Thank you for being so great and teaching me something new. I will be back for more classes.

What You'll Get

Stitch up a storm with today’s side deal: for $25, you get a beginner knitting or crocheting class at Lovelyarns (a $55 value). Needles and one skein of yarn are included.

Whether you take Learn to Knit or Learn to Crochet, you'll pick up a new hobby at Lovelyarns. Each beginner's class includes two two-hour sessions (scheduled about one week apart) and teaches participants to craft their own attire and beer koozies. Students will get their scarf-knitting underway by learning to knit, purl, cast-on, and bind-off with a Learn to Knit class. Students can also glean valuable stitching and chain-crafting techniques during Learn to Crochet classes. Lovelyarns' experienced instructors provide helpful tips for crafting homemade apparel, and customers will be able to knit their own personalized gifts for loved ones and jittery Chihuahuas. Protect necks from nature’s coming winter onslaught with today’s side deal to Lovelyarns.

Many local publications have featured Lovelyarns. City Paper readers voted it Best Yarn Store. Baltimore magazine named it Best Knitting Shop in its Best of Baltimore 2007, and Town Talk, a Style magazine blog, featured it.

  • Lovelyarns owner Sue Caldwell has impeccable taste, from chunky self-stripers, to so-thin-our-hands-hurt-just-thinking-about-it sock yarn, to beautiful hand-dyed skeins and sumptuous alpacas. And everything is so soft that you can't wait to get it on your needles. – City Paper
  • The shop has comfy chairs, homemade muffins, and peace and quiet. They also offer tons of different level classes…With the mega assortment of yarn and accommodating workers, no wonder no one ever wants to leave. – Baltimore
