About Luceline Orchard
Nearly a decade ago, Rich Pawelk and his wife Terri Traen planted 300 apple trees on their 155-acre property, thus starting LuceLine Orchard. Since then, the land's harvest has grown to include seven varieties of apples, plus pumpkins, squash, and six acres of grape vineyards. But the rolling hills and produce-filled fields were too much for Rich and Terri to enjoy by themselves, so they decided to share their land with the community. People can explore the orchard’s trails by foot, bike, horse, or hovercraft, and take along binoculars for bird-watching stops. The orchard’s “Mess Hall” cooks up Minnesota-made brats, burgers, hot and dogs cut in apple cider, as well as housemade apple slaw. Pumpkins of all sizes and apples plucked from the land transform into pies that customers can bring with them when they leave. After their food fix, guests can wander over towards the corn maze, petting zoo, kiddie train rides, and hay mountain. Guests can also explore the tornado trail where they see trees that have been twisted 180 degrees from the tornado that hit in July 2015.
