Starting at noon, revelers visit 25 area bars, each boasting specials and entertainment, such as bag pipe music from The Ripon Police and Fire Pipe Band, a live rockabilly band at the Irish Chicken Coop, dancing aboard Grace O’Malley’s Pirate Ship, acoustic musicians at Peterson’s Pipe House, and dueling pianos at Richard A. Meyer’s Dueling Pianos.
St. Patrick's Day Lucky Fest
What do you call it when 25 pubs spontaneously appear in a city square? A very lucky day. The party runs from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. at a gallery of custom-made, Ireland-themed bars and restaurants on 11th Street between K and L. But the canvas drinking holes are hardly the most eye-catching part of the party—that honor is a toss up between Grace O'Malley's Fantastic Voyage, a DJ stage shaped like a life-size pirate ship, and the EDM ball held at 51 Fifty Celtic Chaos Irish Castle, a fortress of funk built for one night only.
