The place is Lovely, The staff Mss. Brie who was our guide and gave us a great explanation about everything. Only during the tasting, they should give us at least one option to choose which wine we could try more at least a half glass, or even sell glasses options, not only full bottles, once you are in a winery, so you should have options of all kinds.

Brie, our host, was excellent and the tastings and pairings were good. Our family group was surprised with the wines we liked best! Would recommend.

We paid for a groupon for a wine tour and tasting for 4 people. I was beyond disappointed, and feel that we wasted our money on the tour (ESPECIALLY since it is mentioned that they normally provide 5 sample tastings for free anyways.) The estate tour is posted $30 per person. On this estate tour we were supposed to get a "behind the scenes" tour in the production area (and you can see others have gotten this tour based on the photos that are posted in the reviews here) but I'm not sure why we were only given a quick walk through of one of the rooms that they have for rent, and another room with a piano in it, the garden archway outside, and then the room in which we were served our tastings. Also we were shown a video of how ice wine is made. We were given 2 whites, and a red, and 2 ice wines to try, very small pours. it was supposed to be 5 tastings plus an ice wine. We were given a cheese and cracker plate so that was probably the best part. I am extremely disappointed that we were not shown the behind the scenes areas, as that would be the best part to see! I would not have paid as much as I did for this. I definitely feel ripped off, as we basically paid $65(groupon) for the plates of cheese and crackers, considering you can get 5 tastings for free as it is, and we were NOT shown the background production area, in which I was most excited to show my family as I have done this tour many years ago and already knew what to expect. Unfortunately I will not be recommending this tour to my friends/family anymore.

The staff was nice but there really wasn't much to the tour. It was just a quick walk through of a few rooms they have for rent, a glance at (not in) the field & an outdated video. The pours were pretty tiny & the wines were mediocre. Best part of the whole experience was probably the cheese lol

About LuLu Island Winery

Though it’s the newest winery in Richmond, LuLu Island Winery boasts a deeper history. The buisness gets its name from its location on Richmond Island, which was formerly known as "LuLu Island." According to local legend, LuLu was the name of the mistress of the man who first established the land, and the scandal eventually compelled the community to change the name. Today, the winery produces award-winning red and white wines, fruit wines, and ice wines on this historic spot.

LuLu’s resident winemaker has more than 30 years of experience crafting fine wines. Using grapes from the nearby Okanagan Valley, he churns out vintages such as the 2014 Viognier White Icewine, which snagged two Gold medals at All Canadian Wine Championships and Japan Wine Challenge in 2017. LuLu's 2014 Meritage Red Wine, won Bronze medal at Japan Wine Challenge in 2017. But it’s the sweet fruit wines, flavored with raspberry, and blueberry that keep the locals and the humminbirds coming back.
