Q:

Hi, I have been thinking about this treatment for a long time, as I really have a lot of veins all over my legs, but I have great difficulty dealing with needles. Do you offer an option/upgrade to topically numb a patient's skin, so that the needles' insertion is barely felt? I don't mind if it hurts later, but in the actual moment I am really terrible with any kind of injections. Thanks for any information you can provide!

Kimberly S.  asked on  Jan 27, 2013

A:

We can only use topical numbing on a small section. So if you wanted to only focus on a small section per treatment, than we could do that, but we would not be able to get to as many veins as normal in a session. The cost for tpoical numbing is $20 extra.

A:

Everyone is different and it depends on how many you have. The least amount that most people need is 2 sessions, and some need 4 or more sessions.

Q:

How long does this treatment work?

KATHY P.  asked on  Jan 23, 2013

A:

The treatment on the veins we treat is permanent. However, spider/varicose veins are genetic, and if you have them, you will likely continue to get new ones throughout your lifetime.

Q:

Instead of thigh-high, can I use 20-30 mmHg pantyhose that has the full panty?

Rhea A.  asked on  Jan 24, 2013

A:

Yes you can use the pantyhose type, as long as its 20-30 pressure its a matter of personal preference between thigh high and full pantyhose style.
