Today's side deal unites lacrosse and live music: for $15, you get a general-admission ticket to LXM PRO (a $32.64 value). The event starts at noon on Saturday, April 10, and includes a pro lacrosse clinic, two lacrosse matchups, and a live concert by Carolina Liar, the Swedish alt-rock band from LA, which starts at 6 p.m. All festivities take place at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
After practicing a new way to combine balls with baskets during the pro lacrosse clinic, kick back while the Aggies and Longhorns face off to determine who's the most Texan and most beautiful in a facemask. Once their rivalry has been settled (until next time, Gadget, next time…), 40 of the sport's best players, such as Kyle Harrison and Joe Walters, will split into two teams to play the LXM PRO all-stars matchup. Once the bodies have been cleared from the field, Carolina Liar and frontman Chad Wolf will blast out their hit songs "I'm Not Over" and "Show Me What I'm Looking For" as they attempt to break America's habit of humming "Dancing Queen" every time it hears the word "Sweden."
- One of the few Canadians on the tour, attackman [Lewis] Ratcliff has been one of the NLL's most dangerous players, currently sitting ninth in league scoring with 47 points. He has more than 600 points in the last nine seasons, winning the 2004 title with the Calgary Roughnecks. – John Jiloty, Inside Lacrosse
