- Nationally renowned company

Though it is illegal for pranksters to shout about nonexistent fires in a theatre, shrieking after an encounter with an underseat gum wad is permissible. Shout about what's on stage instead with today's deal: for $11, you get one ticket to Macbeth at Mad Cow Theatre (a $22 value), located in downtown Orlando. Shows are scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from August 6–29. This Groupon is not valid for the preview shows on August 4 and August 5.
A winner of the Best Theater Company award from Orlando Magazine, Mad Cow Theatre attracts a wealth of thespian talent and produces several contemporary and classic productions from American and world literature every year. Now in its 13th season, the theatre company has received recognition from national publications for its intelligent productions. The newest of these is a "chamber version" of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, in which performers Sophia Wise, Bobbie Bell, and Michael Sapp will tackle every role in the Bard of Avon's timeless tale of regicide, madness, and dirty hands on the misty moors of Scotland. In addition to being one of Western civilization’s best-known plays, Macbeth has an almost unparalleled aura of mystery surrounding it, with the play itself rumored to be cursed; as such, actors and actresses superstitiously refer to the play as "the Scottish play," "Htebcam," or "Bio-Dome".
See a Thursday or Sunday performance of the show and stick around for a talkback discussion afterward, where the performers will offer insights and answer questions about the show, the theatre company, and how to think in iambic pentameter without breaking too much of a sweat. Call the Mad Cow box office to reserve a date and tickets.
