About Mad Dogs & Englishmen
In the 1960s, the drabness of post-war Britain finally burst to life in an explosion of good vibes and waving Union Jacks. The Rolling Stones, Michael Caine, Princess Margaret, and others helped usher in the Swinging Sixties, and nearly half a century later, Mad Dogs and Englishmen is here to bring 'em back. To that end, the restaurant specializes in that most time-honored of English traditions: pub grub. All the staples are here, including shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, and, of course, fish and chips. But the name of the pub doesn't truly make sense until you meet bartender Hugo Morley, the godson of Noël Coward. Yes, that's the legendary composer who wrote the song "Mad Dogs and Englishmen."
