As a busy mom working in the consulting world, Melanie Mityas had the best of intentions. She decided to share her frustrations with the former Chef de Cuisine of Spring Restaurant, Josh Jones. He sympathized, and partnered with Melanie to create a business: Madison & Rayne.
Together, Melanie and Josh strive to make meal-planning as effortless as it looks on cooking shows. Once customers choose the meals they want for the week, a cooler bag arrives on their doorstep, stocked with prepped ingredients: herbs and spices pre-measured, veggies pre-washed and chopped, and meats seasoned and marinated. All the customer has to do is pull out a pan or two and get to the fun part—cooking. Once the week is done, they rinse out the containers and pack them back up in the cooler bag to be picked up for the next delivery.
At-home chefs can also rest easy knowing that the ingredients are sourced from local farms and vendors. As a result, the menu changes every week to include new seasonal ingredients.
