The food is delicious. Their chicken tacos are phenomenal. The staff at Maggie's is incredibly friendly and the owner takes the time to come around and check on everybody.

What You'll Get

Texan witches often cursed their enemies with the Tex-Mex Hex—causing them to weep ranchero sauce, sprout burritos on their arms, and turn everything they touch into refried beans. Celebrate a more benevolent form of this delectable magic with today's Groupon: for $8, you get $16 worth of Mexican fare at Maggie's Authentic Mexican Foods in Lee's Summit.

A locally owned restaurant deeply rooted in tradition, Maggie's serves only homemade Mexican dishes from family recipes taught to the owner as a kid. Maggie's menu of sizzling south of the border fare features combo platters named after the owner's aunts. Try the Juanita, a couple of corn tacos chaperoned by a watchful enchilada with rice and beans ($8.15), or the Delores, a pork chili burrito escorted to taste buds by either an enchilada or two tacos ($8.45). For those morally opposed to wrapped foods, the pazole bowl with bacon and tortillas ($5.95) and the sauce-drenched chicken mole with tortillas ($6.25) showcase bold flavors liberated from flattened corn and flour cells.

About Maggie's Authentic Mexican Foods

Maggie's Authentic Mexican Foods more than lives up to its name. Visitors to the restaurant peruse the colorful menu before feasting on orders of spicy queso and housemade chips and salsa. Mexican staples such as chicken mole, tamales, and enchiladas sail out of the kitchen alongside more inventive dishes, such as Steve-O's corn dip and the kids' hot-dog-in-a-tortilla. Like handing out $20 bills to kids who sit quietly, getting Maggie's quarts of rice and beans make family dinners a simple prospect.
