Housed in a historic building from the 1890s that once served as a family residence, a doctor’s practice, and a boarding house, Magnolia South is the perfect setting to feature executive Chef Sean Barger's Southern dishes. His menu changes according to the season and is prepared with locally sourced ingredients—a practice that was instilled in him during his youth spent on the family farm.
In the kitchen, Chef Sean Barger pairs pork chops with rosemary peaches or shrimp and grits with hand-cut 14-ounce ribeye steaks, which dinner and lunch guests can enjoy in a dining room bedecked with ornate wooden fireplace mantels. Meanwhile, the brunch crowd gets to feast on ham and smoked cheddar quiches and French toast crafted with caramel pecan bread and Grand Marnier batter. Above the bar, a tin-plated ceiling overlooks bartenders mixing up mint juleps and other tasty libations.
