Traditional Tour:

Conducted by a private tour leader, the walking tour begins with the viewing of the equipment used for the production of wines. A brief overview of stainless steel fermentation and bottling techniques will be part of this production area tour. Participants will then descend a hand-painted stairwell to the temperature controlled underground barrel cellar where they can reflect on the aromas and sights of wines actually being barrel aged and learn the importance of this technique in the development of finer vintages. A showcase of vintage copper tools provides a glimpse into the ancient art of barrel making. European chandeliers captivate an elegant 40-foot oak tasting table. The tour is completed with a wine tutorial and tasting of four Magnotta Special Reserve wines in the Awards Room. While sampling, participants may taste specialty cheeses and gourmet crackers, which have been carefully paired with the wines. They will have exclusive access to this tasting bar, and weather permitting, access to an outdoor patio featuring an original bronze by renowned sculptor Lea Vivot. Once the tour is complete they are free to peruse the fine art collection lining the walls of Magnotta’s retail store, seeing firsthand Group of Seven original pieces, and international and local works including a selection of bronzes and statues. About Magnotta Winery

Magnotta Winery grows grapes from their 180 acres of family-owned and operated vineyards in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, one of the finest wine regions in the world. For additional grapes, they support the agricultural growth of the province by partnering with local independent grape growers.

From grape to bottle to the table, they are there every step of the way to handcraft our wines. The entire winemaking process – harvesting, crushing, fermentation, vinification and bottling – is managed by their winemakers and production team at their expansive facilities located in Vaughan and Beamsville.

With over 180 wines to satisfy any budget or occasion including VQA, premium and specialty wines and our world-famous Icewines, they sell directly to the consumer at winery-direct prices through their 13 independent stores in Ontario.

As part of the small group of emerging wineries behind the wine renaissance in Ontario over the last 25 years, they are proud that they have helped evolve Canada into the world-class wine producer it is today, bringing Ontario's distinctive wines to centre stage in international wine competitions. They have earned more than 4,500 awards for product excellence.
