Before talking came into vogue, most communication was conducted via song and dance, with brokers whistling out the prices of shares and shoppers ordering at the deli counter with tap routines about pimiento loaf. Express an interest in the glory days of expression with today's Groupon to see Drumline Live on Thursday, January 20 at 8 p.m. The performance will take place at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater, located on First Street South in St. Petersburg. Choose from the following seating options:

  • $17 for one upper-balcony ticket (a $34 value)
  • $27 for one rear-orchestra ticket (a $54 value)
  • $22 for one loge ticket (a $44 value)
  • $22 for one lower-balcony ticket (a $44 value)

The newly renovated Mahaffey Theater showcases a wide range of performances, from traditional Broadway musicals to sensational acrobatics and comedy shows. Drumline Live, which is based on the film Drumline, tickles eyes, ears, and imaginations with a lively blend of percussive instruments, dance, and illusory feather dusters. The vivacious mixture will have audience members and marching band leaders grooving in their chosen seats and tapping their mandatory shoes.

The Mahaffey Theater

Just minutes from downtown's bustling shops and overlooking the glassy waters of Tampa Bay, The Mahaffey Theater's picturesque building hosts some of Florida's most entertaining art and performance offerings. Originally built in 1965, the renovated building's floor-to-ceiling glass façade pierces the night with softly glowing light, cordially inviting patrons inside and awakening desires in moths that can never be fulfilled. The box-style seating of the theater ensures clear sightlines for all patrons, and its excellent acoustics make the venue suitable for both thunderous rock bands and delicate chamber ensembles.

Was a great concert in a great venue. Although it wasn't sold out, the crowd was awesome and really made it a fun experience for everyone. And of course, the GoGo's were as good as they always were. It was a fun night!
