Maharaja Indian Restaurant

Inside Maharaja Indian Restaurant, the air is heady with the scents of traditional Tandoor-grilled Indian meats and flavorful curries, all served in a dining room done in striking hues of royal blue and canary. It’s easy to feel like you’ve been whisked away to somewhere in Bombay, but if you look outside, you can see sweeping views of Rhode Island’s Narragansett Beach. The oceanside restaurant occupies an upper floor of the Village Inn, a stone’s throw from the shoreline. Beach views provide a temporary distraction, but the menu commands most of the attention, with spicy lamb vindaloo, Halal goat biryani, vegan channa masala, and ten different types of naan bread; it includes many Vegan/Gluten Free/Halal options, and a plethora of mouth-watering meat or vegetarian curries perfectly encompassing the authenticity and variety that Indian cuisine has to offer.

People were so nice and smiley! Food was so delicious! WE WILL BE BACK!!

The food was fantastic. My friend that I went with that had previously visited India loved it and said that it does not lack traditional taste. The service was great! They were super friendly and very considerate when it came to the spice level, and constantly checked on us if we needed more water things like that. Everything was great! Highly recommend.

The food is fresh, cooked perfectly, and overall, I'd say they have the best Indian food in all of Rhode Island.
