What You'll Get
Throughout history, humans have hiked into the mountains seeking the serenity of nature, spiritual enlightenment, or evidence of the legendary mountain narwhal. Follow in their boot-steps with today's Groupon: for $39, you get a guided sunrise hike for two from Malibu Discovery (a $78 value). Pickups occur at designated locations in Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, and West Los Angeles. Tours depart daily at 6:45 a.m. and last about two hours total.
Malibu Discovery's expert tour guides escort small groups of ante-meridiem amblers on hiking tours that open onto sweeping views from the elevated perches of the Santa Monica Mountains. Once trampers have arrived at Will Rogers State Park, their designated strolling leader warms them up for the 2.5-mile jaunt and then hands everyone a bottle of water, snack, and a 1UP mushroom for emergencies. From there, the tour snakes up and around the former stomping grounds of beloved cowboy, commentator, and comedian Will Rogers to reach Inspiration Point and its 360-degree views of downtown Los Angeles, the celebrity abodes of the Hollywood Hills, and Catalina Island's sea lions as they stage elaborate reenactments of the Battle of Trafalgar. Tours are great for locals and visitors alike. Malibu Discovery encourages participants to bring along a camera and wear comfortable shoes.

About Malibu Discovery Tours
Malibu Discovery Tours' experienced guides shepherd locals and visitors on various tours of the salt-air scenery around Malibu’s coasts and wineries. As guests summit mountains at sunrise, the guides point out celebrity mansions, exquisite wildlife, and the laundromats of Hollywood elites. In between views of the ocean and passes through mountain landscapes, tour groups can watch the rolling vineyards of local wine country and look for amorous initial carvings by a teenage John Adams on Old Malibu's historic building façades.
