Manatee Fanning is a private, for-profit entity, that works with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Parks and Recreation. That's a big mouthful to say that we work hand-in-hand with the Park staff to make Florida State Parks that much more enjoyable for guests. They're no rangers. But they sure try to help them make the parks as excellent as possible.

Awesome experience. Friendly staff. Was surprised about there being a cost for parking, but $6 is reasonable for the day. Food, snacks, drinks, ice cream available. Rented a canoe and kayak and had a blast on the river. Did not catch any fish and current was fast so we did not get far. But will be back soon.

The staff were very helpful and polite- that is the upmost important for me anywhere. My entire family enjoyed this experience! The scenery was Beautiful, and seeing all the wildlife (even though I didn’t get pictures of them all) was Amazing!! Definitely recommend Manatee & Fanning Springs State Park.

We had a great time kayaking down the Suwanee River. We saw gators, birds and turtles. It was my grandsons first kayaking experience. We passed a group of 4 manatees while paddling. We got to swim with them at Fanning Springs State park. Lots of fun and a great deal
