Q:

1. we are planing to use the groupon the weekend of 8/31 (either 9/1 or 9/2). You have indicated that the best season for the manatees is during the winter season - so will we see anything if we use it in early September? 2. we are a party of 3 - one of us is not diving - would she be able to just go with us on the boat and stay on it wheile we dive? id so, what would be the cost for that person? Regards,

Yoav M. C.  asked on  Aug 7, 2012

A:

Hi Yoav! There is no guarantee that there will be manatees out, but there is a good chance that you will have an interaction. The additional person is allowed to purchase a Groupon as stay on the boat (if under 12 years old, they must be accompanied by an adult.)

Q:

I see that this groupon is for a tour and dive, i have my own equipment, and i am a certified diver, should i bring my own tanks?

Ronald H.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hi Ronald! There is no need for equipment, as the Groupon is only valid for snorkeling.

Q:

I would be buying 5 groupons, two for me & my husband and three for visitors coming to visit. If they could not come or don't want to use them, could I substitue others or use the other three for ourselves at a later date? Thanks,

Patricia D.  asked on  Aug 8, 2012

A:

Hi Patricia! This is fine! Even if a different person's name is on the Groupon, someone else can use it with no issue.

Do we have to supply our own wet suits? Roberta

Roberta K.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hello Roberta, you do not have to supply your own wetsuit. The wetsuit and snorkel gear is provided within the groupon cost. Thank you.

Q:

Hi. The deal says it is both Valid every day of the week and also Tuesday and Friday only at 7:30am. Does that mean there are other available time frames for every other day? Thank you.

Shelley U.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hello Shelley, our regular running tour times are 7:30 a.m. 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. anyday besides Tuesday and Friday because we have tour buses that come in on those 2 days. Thank you.

Q:

When is the best time of day, or year, to see the manatees?

Kelli S.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hello Kelli, the prime season for the manatees is during the winter season. Anywhere from mid-November to the end of February into March is the best season for the manatee experience. Thank you for your inquiry.

Q:

if i buy 4 groupons for 4 people, can we each use a groupon on our manatee tour together?

Deborah R.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hello Deborah, the answer to your question is absolutely. The groupon says "one per visit"; however, you may use all groupons in the same visit if you purchase multiple.

Q:

What if you have your own snorkel equipment? Do you have to rent yours or can you use your own?

Paula B.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hello Paula, we do have all of the equipment and it is included in the groupon. However, we have many people who prefer to use their own personal gear. So you may use ours, or your own! Thank you.

Q:

If I was going with my granddaughter but didn't want to get in the water, could I just stay aboard the boat and watch (paying the tour cost, of course)? Jeanne

Jeanne M.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hello Jeanne, those wanting to experience the manatee tour just from the boat may do so. It is normally a $29.00 value just for the tour, so even with the purchase of the groupon you are saving $9.00. So you can either go swimming or stay on the boat! Thank you.

Q:

Your instructions state 1 per visit. Does that mean if I bring my family, that only one of us can use our groupon? It would be my husband, myself and my 3 kids. So, I would be purchasing 5, but would want to use them on the same visit.

Kay D.  asked on  Aug 6, 2012

A:

Hello Kay, you are able to purchase as many groupons as you like, and you may redeem them all in the same visit. Hope this helps!
