Watching a movie gives audiences a chance to capture that moment’s resonant je ne sais quoi, which is French for popcorn smell. Rejoice in artful concessions with today's Groupon to the Manhattan Film Festival. Choose between the following options:

• For $7, you get a general-admission ticket to one Program 1 feature (a $14 value). Program 1 features are scheduled for Friday, July 22; Saturday, July 23; Saturday, July 30; and Sunday, July 31, in the Peter Norton Symphony Space.
• For $6, you get a general-admission ticket to one Program 2 feature (a $12 value). Program 2 features are scheduled for Sunday, July 24; Monday, July 25; Tuesday, July 26; Wednesday, July 27; and Thursday, July 28, at The Producer's Club.

The 2011 Manhattan Film Festival eschews exclusivity to unite the passionate visionaries behind 132 feature films with all levels of cinephiles. In addition to taking in silver-screen features, attendees can participate in an array of partying opportunities and audience voting. Program 1 kicks off July 22 with John Gray's headlining feature, White Irish Drinkers, as well as children's and family programs packed with cameos from celebrities such as Kevin Bacon and B.B. King. The collection on July 23 features student directorial endeavors such as fictional wartime tale 15 Hours Before War, and more than 30 international selections are projected the following Saturday and Sunday before Rashid Ghazi's festival capstone, Fordson: Faith, Fasting, Football —a tale of struggles and unity on and off the field.

Program 2 serves a second helping of student films, dramatic shorts, horror flicks, and international works. Students precede a week of international and dramatic screenings with Sunday, July 24, features such as the white-collar crime thriller Made Off. At the close of Program 2, select horror features thrill audiences with Wolfsbane’s reimagining of a childhood tale.
