Manhattan Walking Tour's licensed tour guides introduce visitors and knowledge-seeking natives to the history behind many of New York's most famous landmarks and share their own experiences and advice for eating and shopping in the core of the Big Apple. Guests will trot through the square, down 42nd Street and 8th Avenue, and past such famous Broadway landmarks as the Lyceum Theatre, 42nd Street's Candler Tower, and ABC and MTV studios. New York native and 15-year tourism-industry veteran Garry Zafrani, or one of his equally talented talkers, are happy to weigh in on questions about the city's best eateries or where to find an avant-garde off-Broadway revival of Grease.

Manhattan Walking Tour

With its winding sidewalks, New York City is very walkable⎯a characteristic native New Yorker and Manhattan Walking Tour founder Garry Zafrani celebrates with a slate of informative expeditions. Zafrani and his knowledgeable staff of tour guides lead various jaunts throughout the famed metropolis, sharing historical facts about Central Park, downtown, Times Square, and the High Line along the way. They also sate visitors’ taste buds with food tours, treating palates to global flavors during the International Food Lovers tour and pairing architecture sightings and focaccia during a tour of Greenwich Village.

Great tour. Lots of delicious food to sample. Large portions and variety for vegetarians. I enjoyed listening about the history and meeting new people. the group size was perfect. Only 6 people for the tour, which made it easy to maneuver around the city.
