Don't plan on any private conversations as the tables are close but the food and beer are divine!

You have to push to have your groupon credited to bill. Went there before, told the waiter upfront I had the groupon. He wouldn't take it until the time the bill is presented. I ended up forgetting and had my groupon expire. Same thing with my now expired, cash value only coupon this time. Told him up front, gave him coupon. Bill presented at the end of our meal without the credit applied. Had to ask to have the credit applied, which he indicated would require voiding bill and re-doing. Not sure what the recommended protocol is for using dining groupons. This restaurant frequently has groupon specials and it is great food / service. I will eat there again, but wish they handled better

Beer is expensive

What You'll Get

Mussels, like sealed envelopes of election returns, can be opened only with steam or a letter opener sharpened on the steps of the state capitol. Set aside your desire to pry with this Groupon.

About Mannequin Pis

Bottles populate the menus at Mannequin Pis, advertising the extensive selection of Belgian beers and primarily French wines that lines the dining room's shelves and windowsill. Originally founded by Belgian chef Bernard Dehaene, the restaurant "feels as if it were plucked from a cobblestone street in Brussels" according to the Washingtonian, which awarded Mannequin Pis a spot on its list of the 100 Best Restaurants in 2011.

Although the menu includes pan-seared trout and roasted pork loin, the spotlight is reserved for its mussels. Kilograms of bivalves bask in one of the chefs' 17 signature broths, waiting to be opened by deft hands or sincere compliments in wine- or beer-based mixtures that incorporate bacon, coconut milk, or lobster bisque.
