They were extremely polite, professional, and accommodating to our needs. Rooms were quite spacious for this age/type of hotel. Very clean. Staff was great. I would definately recommend, in particular for a special or romantic getaway.

Cowboys invented the handlebar mustache so they'd always have somewhere to hang their hat. Save yourself the grooming time and hang your Stetson at the stately Mansion at Judges' Hill. With today's Groupon, $85 gets you a one-night stay in a grandly appointed queen room, as well as a $30 credit for breakfast in the hotel's restaurant (up to a $199 value).

The richly furnished boutique hotel inhabits a quiet corner of Judges' Hill. Built in 1900, it was originally the mansion of Goodall Wooten, a prosperous physician from New York. Over the course of the century, the house served as a dormitory, a community center, and a treatment center for alcoholics. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, the building was completely renovated and converted into a hotel in 2003.

The amiable and attentive staff at the Mansion at Judges' Hill will usher you into rooms that blend modern convenience and period-perfect charm: a rainfall showerhead mingles with a granite-topped writing desk, while the intricately carved oak canopy bed holds 310-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets and hypoallergenic down duvets and pillows for you to snuggle into. You will be guaranteed a stay in the North Wing section of the hotel, in a Queen Petite room or better based on availability. Though Valentine's Day availability may be limited, it's always the perfect time to sneak away into the elegance of the Victorian past sans the stiff dress and social mores.

After a long, hard night of getting far more relaxation than you're used to, head downstairs, where executive chef Rob Snow folds together fine-dining cuisine and upscale comfort fare into treats such as buttermilk pancakes smeared with pecan and maple butter for $10 or green-chile slathered chorizo breakfast tacos for $9.50. This deal gives you a $30 credit toward whatever breakfast-menu items you prefer.

This Groupon does not cover a 15% room rate tax or gratuity on breakfast service.

  • Just remember, it's a boutique hotel which means you won't find another like it! It's unique and is definitely NOT a huge, sprawling corporate affair. That's not what we wanted in the first place. It's everything they advertise it to be. – cboone100, TripAdvisor
  • This was a wonderful experience - this hotel is very charming! The grounds are lovely and the rooms are very nicely appointed. – A traveler from Mountain Home, TX, Expedia
  • The second-story signature rooms are the most fun; they all open onto a sweeping upstairs porch and have tall ceilings and large bathrooms with special amenities (including L'Occitane toiletries and bathrobes). – Frommer's
