About Maple View Bed & Breakfast
Mountains surround Maple View Bed & Breakfast, which is located on an acre of woodsy, meticulously manicured gardens near the eastern shores of Vancouver Island. Innkeepers Sue and Peter Hardie, natives of Lancashire, England, complement these picturesque environs with their well-appointed, boutique-style B & B. Several resident animals, including two cats and a dog, roam the idyllic grounds.
Visitors stroll through private entrances en route to the elegant guest rooms, revelling with complimentary beverages and snacks upon arrival. In the Roseberry Room, for example, couples sleep near a mounted flat-screen TV.
Each morning, Sue and Peter cook a continental breakfast crafted with fresh, local ingredients. For an extra fee, upgrade to heartier fare from the full menu, such as french toast topped with Canadian maple syrup or a mixed-berry smoothie. To simplify travel plans, Sue or Peter can pick up guests from the Nanaimo airport and ferry terminals for free, and recommend a local activity, including hitting the nearby golf courses, exploring scuba-diving sites, and hiking at one of more than 200 parks scattered across the nearby mountains and beaches.
