Multi-Grammy winners Los Lobos join Mexico City's Ballet Folklorico Mexicano for Fiesta Mexico-Americana, an evening celebrating Mexican-American heritage through song, dance, music and film. The L.A.-based band's rootsy rock 'n' roll is influenced by Tex-Mex, country, folk, R&B and traditional Mexican songs. Their 1984 release How Will the Wolf Survive? was called one of the 500 greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone and 2015 saw a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nomination for the band. Los Lobos will bring their soulful, culture-blending sounds to Milwaukee's Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, where they'll find their perfect match in the colorful costumes, towering headpieces and folk dances of Ballet Folklorico Mexicano. The dance troupe's sizzling, visually sumptuous production blends ancient tradition with modern movement.
