You would buy one for yourself as normal then buy one for your husband as a gift Groupon in a separate transaction. To purchase this offer as a gift, simply click on the "Buy for a Friend" link underneath the "Buy" button on the deal page.

If we wanted to do the 2 day adventure as a group, what days can this be done? We were thinking of what times and days? Is it possible to do on a sunday and camp out until monday? Also, is there an order of the events that it has to happen. For example: If we wanted to drive there on saturday, can we do the camping saturday night and wake up and going rafting and tasting the wine and etc on sunday? And vice versa? Thanks!

Q:

Is there an age limit for the rafting? I'd like to bring my sons ages 11 & 13.

Janet  asked on  Jun 15, 2013

A:

Your sons will love the river! We take youth as young as 7 years old on the South Fork American River. In order to raft the Middle Fork of the American River the youth need to be at least 12 years old. If you purchase the groupon voucher, we can upgrade you from the Middle Fork to the South Fork for an additional fee of $15 per person. I hope you can join us. We are having great fun this summer! Sincerely, Donna Hunter, Owner

Q:

IF a person doesn't drink wine can that be deducted from the cost of the tour?

Mary S.  asked on  Jun 15, 2013

A:

I am sorry, but we cannot reduce the price of the Winery Tour and Rafting trip, even if you don't drink. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery, hear interesting stories about how the wines are produced, and enjoy the comaraderie. We hope you decide to join us. Sincerely, Donna Hunter, Owner

Q:

What are the dates and how experienced do you have to be? Do Professionals do the paddling? Tell me more about the tunnel chute how far are you shot out of the chute?

Mary S.  asked on  Jun 15, 2013

A:

Hello Mary, We are on the Middle Fork of the American River daily. We take a lot of first time rafters - you just need to be enthusiastic about having an adventure. There is a professional guide in each boat who directs everyone in how to paddle to safely maneuver through the rapids. There are 6 guests in each boat, in addition to the guide. You are not really shot out of the Chute. The Chute is about 100 yards and you raft down it at a high speed not paddling, just holding on. Once you reach the end of the Chute the current takes you into a tunnel where the water is flat and there is a great echo chamber. Great fun!! We have many groups and people who do the Middle Fork more than once/year. We hope you can join us. Sincerely, Donna Hunter, Owner

Q:

Can the campground accommodate a 30 foot RV?

Amy L.  asked on  Jun 15, 2013

A:

Hello Amy, Our parking lot is huge and can accommodate several 30' RV's at one time. The campground is on the banks of the river and we do not allow vehicles down there. However, the walk from the river banks to the parking lot is less than 300 feet. We have many guests who stay in their rigs in the parking lot; the best place is near the restrooms and showers. We hope you can join us; we are having lots of fun. Sincerely, Donna Hunter, Owner
