Yes, use your Groupon before it expires! The food was wonderful. The place is very patron friendly and has a great atmosphere. We will go again.

Don't go until they get their act together again. Had to wait over an hour for our food and it wasn't even busy at the time we had our reservation. Finally, food arrived and my filet was 'burned' on the outside and as tough as shoe leather. They did offer to take it back;but, who wants to wait another hour for food! Have been there 3 other times and service and food was great. Definitely not this time. Our waitress, and probably not her fault, was clueless. Nice person but definitely not ready to wait on customers. Had to go and ask another waiter just about everything that we asked her about food. And speaking of waiters, they obviously need more employees and help in kitchen!

The food staff and atmosphere were great. Only bad thing was there were a LOT of flies during our visit.

Marisqueira Mediterranean Bistro

When first opening Marisqueira, seasoned restaurateur Claudio Pereira wanted to model his newest culinary investment after his father’s south-side eatery, Mallorca, notes the Pittsburgh Business Times. In doing so, Claudio aspired to churn out high-quality, authentic Mediterranean meals just like his dad. Today, Pereira has achieved that goal, transforming fresh seafood and top cuts of veal and chicken into traditional Portuguese feasts, from lunchtime sandwiches made from perfectly spiced pork and steak, to elegant dinners of veal and stuffed lobster. White-clothed tables hoist fresh-cut flowers, and waiters careen through the romantically lit eatery donning bow ties, according to a glowing review by the Pittsburgh Tribune’s Laura Lenk, who notes that “the most striking features of the restaurant are certainly in the details.”
