What You'll Get
Bread is strong enough to fortify flimsy food pyramids, yet gentle enough to hug lonely condiments in a warm embrace. Cultivate a culinary cornerstone with today's Groupon: for $6, you get $12 worth of baked goods, sandwiches, and more at Marlon the Baker in Milford.
The pastry maestros at Marlon the Baker craft all manner of baked goods from scratch, filling their pastry cases and menu with a diverse selection of sweet and savory, from more than 100 types of cakes and pies to a phalanx of sandwiches, pizzas, and paninis made with fresh-baked bread. While the Tripleta sandwich ($6.89) stages a three-way brawl between smoked ham, roasted pork, and grilled steak overseen by a swiss-cheese referee, the Monster Veggie wrap ($5.89) shields the sensitive eyes of a heap of fresh veggies with guacamole. All sandwiches come with a choice of fresh-baked wheat, sourdough, or sweetdough bread, or a flour tortilla.
For a refreshing treat, Marlon’s also blends up a selection of fresh smoothies, such as the Berry Lovers, swimming with berries of the straw, cran, and blue variety, or the 800-Pound Gorilla, designed to bulk up body builders and bullied capuchins with a blend of peanuts, peanut butter, and whey protein (small $3.89; large $4.89). Adventurous quaffers can make their own mash-ups (small $3.89; large $4.89) by taking a trio of fresh fruits and veggies and hurling it at the exposed brick walls.
