Loved the new BMX show, that was great!! Also Liked the video game trailer for my kids and 7 eleven slurpees were perfect. Great event as always.

I went to Day2 so I missed the Crab Soup cookoff, but from someone who takes great pride in my crab soup recipe, it would be nice to open the competition up to individual entries. All in all it was a great day and I enjoyed it!

More places to sit amd just enjoy the surroundings. I had a groupon so I did not pay full price. I would not have gone if I had to pay full price.

Maryland Seafood Festival

Despite its food-centric name, the Maryland Seafood Festival casts a wide net over Chesapeake Bay culture, capturing the essence of the area’s music, art, sports, and cuisine in an annual celebration that has endured for nearly half a century. For 30 of those years, the festival has camped out on Sandy Point State Park’s seaside grounds, where, like the mattress of a giant, the event sprawls across a space the size of nearly three football fields. On Saturday, the festivities kick off with two of the event’s traditions: the Maryland Fishing Challenge and the 22nd Annual Crab Soup Cook-Off. After that, hungry patrons can sample local flavors at vendor booths by Red Hot & Blue and Stan and Joe’s Saloon, or visit chef demos where pros impart tips on preparing dishes such as Chesapeake paella and oyster shooters. Local artisans also fill festival tents, hawking colorful wares that range from jewelry to furniture. A lineup of live music will soundtrack the event through most of the weekend, helping kids bop to the beat in bouncy houses while adults sample imported and craft beers from local brewers.
