The chefs at Masala Box are a lot like painters. But instead of a palate, they use the eponymous masala box: a round, stainless-steel container that has compartments for various spices. With this essential tool, Executive Chef Sumita Gohal-Verma and the team can "paint" Indian flavor onto signature dishes, such as shrimp masala with a tomato-coconut sauce or vegetarian saag paneer with homemade cheese. These dishes, which can be traced back to India through Gohal-Verma's family history, pair with Masala Box's signature cocktails, such as Lion stout blended with half-and-half, espresso, and Jameson whiskey.
