Massee Lane Gardens

Since 1945, the American Camellia Society has helped cultivate appreciation for the camellia, a genus of plants with delicate, voluminous flowers in stunning hues. The society's headquarters, Massee Lane Gardens, is a living testament to that mission. The 9-acre garden’s brick walkways give visitors a close-up view of more than 1,000 varieties of camellias. Outside of one of the finest collections of camellias in the world, Massee Lane Gardens boasts a collection of porcelain displays, a rose garden, and a Japanese garden with koi ponds.

Customer Reviews

I've only been once so far when the camellia's were in bloom. Awesome display of so many varieties and the largest display I have every worth your time to go and enjoy. The camellias were absolutely beautiful and the collection of Edward Marshall Boehm porcelain sculptures is exquisite..take your time to absorb the beauty.

Nice gardens. I would recommend going in Feb. We went in early March and most bushes were past their prime, but there were still enough blooming that it was enjoyable. The greenhouse display was nice. We also enjoyed the porcelain collection. A very quiet and peaceful 2 hours.

Best to go Dec-Feb when the camellias are blooming, but a very nice, small garden.
