About Maw n' Paw BBQ
Maw n' Paw's BBQ opened its doors in 2010, but its story traces its roots back to 1944, when the family packed up its Army surplus trailer and moved from Paducah, Kentucky, to Fresno. Built upon four generations of slow-smoked Kentucky barbecue knowhow, Maw n' Paw's plates up thin-sliced tri-tip, hot sauce–infused hot links, and brisket that spends 18 hours in the smoker. All the meats are coated in Paw's secret dry rub, and all the sides—including the popular rice pilaf—are Maw's original recipes. Even the sauces are homemade, including the nuclear sauce, which is so hot that it has its own challenge and trophy.
