The acclaimed Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra shines the spotlight on one of its homeland's most famous sons, Frederic Chopin, at Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown. Pianist Marcin Koziak takes the lead on the composer's lovely Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor, which Chopin wrote at the tender age of 20 and performed himself at its 1830 premiere in Warsaw. The show will also include Scheherazade, Rimsky-Korsakov's monumental interpretation of One Thousand and One Nights. The Russian composer's most popular work, Scheherazade tells of a magical Arabian adventure. You'll also hear Tchaikovsky's irresistibly emotional Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture. Don't miss this illustrious orchestra, now celebrating its 70th anniversary, during their American tour.
