About Mayur Kabab House
The karahi is a round, wok-like cooking pot, traditionally made of cast iron, used through India and Pakistan––the two countries Mayur Kabab House culls its dishes from. Naturally, the eatery has a number of karahis on hand. The culinary team uses these unique dishes to cook up two-person servings of chicken karahi: small chunks of chicken seasoned with garlic, ginger, and a secret house blend of other spices.
Using a karahi is merely one of the ways the restaurant honors tradition, though. Other classic dishes range from chole bhatura––chickpeas with Himalayan herbs served with deep-fried puffed bread––to biryanis and paneer-studded curries. During mealtimes, the house TVs even play authentic South Asian shows, rather than the typical restaurant's marathon of America's Next Top Fork.
