Q:

I have called the office and it is closed for the weekend. I really would please like to know exactly what kind of crown this is. The groupon addy says porcelain. I know it is a one day procedure and it is also said to be zirconia. So is it solid zirconia or is it zirconia coated with porcelain? In other words if I was to tell a friend what kind of crown I was going to get what would I say to them? Thank you.

s j.  asked on  Apr 19, 2013

A:

Sorry for the delay. The crown is porcelain and called E-Max. There is no metal alloy base with this crown which means no unsightly looking grey line around the gum line.

Q:

for the crown do you use zirconia? that's what I will like...

Alain R.  asked on  Apr 14, 2013

A:

Sorry for the confusion. The crowns are porcelain, called E-Max. This crown is made from a single block of lithium disilicate ceramic: this is a top grade material which has been harvested for its toughness, durability and opaque qualities.

Q:

I was recently told by a dentist I needed a crown on a molar that cracked recently (had been filled about 35 years ago). I tried to call your office directly, but you're closed on Friday, and won't open again until after this groupon offer expires. The estimate for service just states crown - porcelain fused. Since I have no dental insurance, this groupon would be much more affordable than the price the other dentist quoted. Since I can't speak to someone directly to clarify the service offered is what I actually need, should I purchase the groupon now before it expires, and then if it's not what I need, would you permit a refund in this situation?

Lynn K.  asked on  Apr 20, 2013

A:

Hi Lynn, sorry for the delay. I see that you purchased the Groupon. If you find out that this offer does not work for you, we issue refunds 7 days from purchase. Please contact us at support@groupon.com for assistance.

Q:

I want to buy 2 option 3 for my extracted #12 and #30, but do I need to evaluated first? What if they are not good candidates for implants?

Kuojen C.  asked on  Apr 20, 2013

A:

Please note that there is a limit of one Groupon per person. Please contact McCormick Dental at (480) 998-2971 to discuss whether or not you'd be a good candidate for the procedure.

Q:

I have an estimate from another dentist for two crowns - one is more urgent than the other. Xrays and routine cleaning etc already completed and I can bring a copy. I need a crown on my very last left molar. I would prefer gold or zirconia. I am assuming this is for zirconia based on previous answers. Based on this info - I need to know if I would be considered an appropriate candidate for the crown part of this groupon? I am assuming that the zirconia would be a good choice for the back molar? What is the difference in durability and strength between this crown and the gold crown? Does this crown deteriorate more quickly than the gold crown? Any info would be greatly appreciated? What is a lava crown?
