Q:

I have read you have limited availability but in your responses it says you can't reserve until 1-2 weeks prior to when we would like to fish. How are others reserving a spot on the public boat this far out in advance? Are public boats not offered during the evenings on the weekend?

Barry R.  asked on  Jun 17, 2013

A:

I apologize for any confusion. How our scheduling works is when a guest calls they are given a list of dates for the trips we have available for launches in the next two weeks (right now I have availability for trips up to June 30th). Availability is based around the boats that we already have booked or are full. It is also based on the availability of captains and boat maintenance. Regarding the weekend availability our Friday and Saturday evenings are our most popular and book far in advance, as of right now I have no Saturday evening availability through September. If we have a boat available further than a week or two out those dates are added to our availability list and given to guests for a sign up option. Hope this helps.

Q:

Hi, I saw your launches are handicap accessible. My son is in a power wheelchair. Would he be able to drive his chair on to the launch boat? Thanks, Would appreciate your quick reply.

Carolynn J.  asked on  Jun 14, 2013

A:

Hello Carolynn. Absolutely! The boat and dock are at the same level and will allow an easy transport from one to another. Thank you for the question and enjoy!

Q:

I have a couple questions: What if it rains? If I buy two tickets at $19.00 each, can both my cousin and I use the $19.00 tickets on the same boat/fishing trip? We'd like to go together that's why I'm buying two. I see it says limit one per visit, does this mean I can only use one $19.00 for the two of us?

Kim C.  asked on  Jun 13, 2013

A:

We still fish if it rains. We will call off the trip if the wind is too severe or if there are thunderstorms. Yes you can buy one for your cousin and yourself and use it for the same boat/fishing trip.

Q:

If I buy 2 in my name and then 2 more as gifts, can 4 of us go together and use the 4 vouchers on the same trip?

David C.  asked on  Jun 12, 2013

A:

Yes. We will just need all 4 Groupon codes when you call to reserve. We also have hotel rooms, cabins, condos and campsites if you are needing a place to stay before or after your launch.

Q:

Do you have a schedule of the days that are currently available for a reservation?

Kim C.  asked on  Jun 12, 2013

A:

Yes. We schedule boats 1-2 weeks out. Because it is constantly changing based on how fast the boats are filling we ask that you call 1-2 weeks prior to when you'd like to go out and we can tell you what we have available. 1-800-862-3535.

Q:

is this valid on weekends and any month during summer/fall?

Tina B.  asked on  Jun 12, 2013

A:

Reservations are based on boat availability. We do have some weekend availability, it is limited, mostly mornings and afternoons. We book 1-2 weeks out so you would want to call 1-2 weeks prior to when you are looking to go and we could let you know what is available. 1-800-862-3535

A:

Once we get into the fall trips and season end will be weather dependent.

Q:

Are you a catch and release resort or do we get to keep the fish? What are the most popular fish in your lake?

rachel g.  asked on  Jun 12, 2013

A:

Our launch trips mainly target Walleye. We do get the occasional Bass, Northern and Perch. Guests may keep their catch and we will clean and package it to take home, as long as it is within the MN DNR's rules and Regulations. Mille Lacs does have slot limits. Anglers can keep 2 Walleye in the 18-20 inch size range one of the kept may be over 28 inches.

Q:

do you offer weekends with an evening fish time?

Tina B.  asked on  Jun 12, 2013

A:

Fridays and Sunday we have some evening availability. It is very limited as these trips fill a ways in advance. You can call 1-2 weeks prior to when you would like to go out and we can tell you if we have a boat available at that time. 1-800-862-3535.
