Jazz legend Ramsey Lewis' brilliant, far-reaching musicianship and outgoing personality have allowed him to cross over to the pop and R&B charts through the years. Born and raised in Chicago, Lewis first came to fame with the Ramsey Lewis Trio in the late '50s and '60s. A Grammy-winning performer-composer (with hits like "Hang on Sloopy" and "Wade in the Water") and a syndicated jazz radio host, when Lewis performs it's a rare treat for jazz aficionados. Currently celebrating his 50th anniversary of his hit "The In Crowd," Ramsey Lewis and his quartet will perform hits off his latest album Taking Another Look along with old school faves at the McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn.
