A Chat with McDonald Music Studio
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We mix fun with actual learning. Our students not only have a lifelong passion, but they also can play well. Also, we believe in personalizing methods to each student. No two people are the same, and we know that. Every student does learn the same things, but in ways each can comprehend.
Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
Lessons are done in their homes. The need to have the instrument they are taking. (Parents can talk to us if they haven’t purchased or rented one yet.) Any other materials (i.e. books) are purchased by the teacher and are brought to the lesson. Parents must reimburse for materials at said lesson.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
We have had the excellent pleasure of having some of the most amazing teachers for our instruments. We wouldn’t be professionals in our field without their guidance. We believe in doing the same for the next generation. Also, we just love seeing others as excited about music as we are.
What do you love most about your job?
The recitals, the excitement from the students and parents when they’ve crossed a hurdle and accomplished a piece, and hearing through the grapevine how much our students love their lessons. We have a job that doesn’t feel like a job, and we are making a difference in someone else’s life.
