I wish I brought headphones for the audio because I felt rude playing it loudly around the few other masked people. Very interesting and gory. Got lots of great photos and laughed with the others in the museum.

This place was surprisingly fun and interesting - especially with the audio tour. Kids under 6-7 might get a little freaked out. There is also a micro-art section there for extra admission that is really cool.

Very educational. The stories of the tortured are very touching and sad. The micro collection was cool too. The only thing I didn't like was the amount of people coming in the rooms without mask on and getting very close to one another during a pandemic.

Awesome experience. The audio tour was perfect. We did the tour because my 10 year daughter had begged for 4 months to see museum. She loved every part. My 3 year daughter really enjoyed the interactive parts and the picture opportunities.

About Medieval Torture Collection

The Medieval Torture Collection reminds visitors of the horrific injustices inflicted by madmen and tyrants upon the most unfortunate living in the Middle Ages. Throughout 4,000 square-feet, terrifying yet historically accurate exhibits and life-like reenactments showcase over a hundred repulsive torture devices, practices, and weapons used in Medieval societies.

The museum's six rooms each boasts its own creepy theme. For example, one room houses the pendulum, a horrifying device that involved a swinging blade that slowly dipped towards the prisoner's body, eventually tearing through their clothes and skin. Another room features the grisly practice of strapping a bucket of rats onto a captive's torso, the application of heat forcing the vermin to claw through the stomach and chest. After guests tour the museum, a micro-art exhibit provides some relief, featuring almost 30 ultra-tiny paintings and miniature sculptures visible only through microscopes.
