During three-hour hands-on cooking classes, African music weaves through the background as groups learn to prepare three authentic West African recipes with help from instructors native to Nigeria and Ghana. Students will enjoy their meals and can take home any leftovers at the end of class. Examples of dishes taught include red-red with ripe plantains and black-eyed peas, joloff rice, egusi soup, vegetable stew, and peanut-butter soup with chicken. The class schedule varies, but classes are typically held on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 3:30 p.m.
