The haircut begins with a shampoo and scalp massage, then continues with a precision cut, a neckline shave, and hot-towel service. Signature shaves rely on Twin Luxe products and include a warm shave cream, two shaves with and against the grain, an after-shave mask, a lavender-infused cold-towel treatment, and a skin toner and balm. Finally, during the hand-detail service, a nail tech trims nails and cuticles before massaging hands and forearms.
Mens Dept. Barbershop
Clients often linger at the Mens Dept. Barbershop, even well after their haircuts and shaves come to a close. The shop functions much like a clubhouse for grown-ups, with dart boards, a pool table, and leather couches set in front of an HD TV. The staff keeps beer on tap, or it can mix up root beer floats for younger visitors (or the young at heart). Indeed, the barbershop serves as an ideal place to watch a game or play some cards, but the most important events still happen at its 10 barber chairs, which are split into two separate rooms and parallel dimensions. For a signature cut, barbers shampoo and massage the scalp before cutting hair and shaving the neckline for good measure—complete with a hot-towel treatment to melt away any tension. The team's expertise in getting rid of hair also extends to four levels of shaving services as well as facial and body waxing.
