What You'll Get
Much like confronting a former bully at a high-school reunion, playing golf requires an efficient swing and at least three friends to cheer you on. Take a stand against a shank-producing stroke with today's Groupon for golf at Meridian Sun Golf Club in Haslett. Choose between two options:
- For $29, you get two rounds of golf and a cart rental (up to a $68 value).
- For $250, you get an unlimited single golf membership through the 2011 season (a $700 value).
Helmed by PGA Professional Bill Mory, Meridian Sun Golf Club proffers an exquisite course primed for recreational or competitive circuits. Scoot about 6,100 yards of lush, hole-punctuated greenery in a Meridian Sun golf cart during two rounds around the links or a week of unfettered golfery. Characterized by its sweeping knolls and cacodemon-infested bunkers, the diverse regulation 18-hole course features a spilt play-personality—with a rolling, open front nine hedged with oak trees and a shorter, trickier back nine complemented by views of the picturesque lake. Groupon holders who opt for a seven-day single membership get unlimited tee time for a week, as well as a 10% discount on driving range balls, pro-shop merchandise, and a week-long boost of athletic mojo.

About Meridian Sun Golf Club
Draped over the tree-spotted hillocks of the Michigan countryside, Meridian Sun Golf Club's 6,090-yard course welcomes golfers to hit through its rolling fairways and enjoy its natural splendor. The course eases players into the round with a wide-open, straightaway front nine before challenging swings and waggling sand wedges with a shorter back nine populated by multiple water-lined holes. Risk-reward shot opportunities await throughout the round, including the tee shot on the par-3 13th, where balls must clear 100 to 190 yards of water on their way to the green. Club owner and PGA professional Bill Mory—whose golf career spans multiple decades and includes playing in the PGA Tour's Buick Open, where players ride in 1950s Buick Skylarks in place of golf carts—presides over the grounds, conducting lessons at practice facilities that include a 4,000-square-foot practice green and a driving range with 15 hitting stalls. After rounds, golfers can bask in the sunset at the patio of Khakis Restaurant, the club's onsite grill.
