Q:

The deal says "one complete pair of glasses (up to a $150 value)." However, after I purchased the $25 option, I went to the Kendall location as was charged an extra $99 for the actual lenses, in addition to the $179 frames that I chose for a total of $278. After the $150 reduction I still had to pay $128! My question is why was this not in the "fine print"? And if this is correct may I get a refund since the discussion post from yesterday clearly says in relevant parts "the Groupon deal you are looking into includes, frame, LENSES, and ..."? Thank you.

Luis F.  asked on  Nov 2, 2012

A:

Hi Luis, The deal value that you purchased was for frame and lenses for up to a value of $150. If in between the frame and lenses your order goes over that amount, the customer will only pay the difference over $150. Frame and lens price are different because the need for every patient is not the same and we cannot price out a frame with lenses included because of the wide variety of prescriptions. Our frame selection pricing goes as indicated on the Groupon deal starting at $39 and lenses start at $99. When it comes to the frame selection that is something that we as a store leave for the patient to select according to looks, color, brand name and price. If you have any additional questions, please free free to contact us. Sincerely, McDonald

Q:

Do you have a website that I can look at a selection and see if the groupon will really work for me? In all honesty, I dont mind spending a little more than the cost of the groupon, but I would hate to go in and end up having to spend what I would normally on a pair of glasses in addition to the cost of the groupon.

Elizabeth G.  asked on  Nov 2, 2012

A:

Hi Elizabeth, We carry per store approximately 800-1000 frames to select from. At this moment we do not have our selection online but what I would recommend for your convenience is to stop by one of our stores before buying the Groupon voucher and see the selection. This way you can select a frame you like and from there you can purchase the voucher. We are open in Kendall from 10-7 Monday thru Saturday and in Hialeah from 10-6 Monday thru Saturday. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions. Sincerely, McDonald

Alicia R.  asked on  Nov 2, 2012

Q:

If I pick the deal including eye exam, am I eligible for a frame up to a value of $200?Does the $50 deal include eye examination for both glasses and contact lenses, corrective glasses and the frame itself? Can I buy contact lens with the eye exam provided with this deal in the future?

Serhat C.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Hi Serhat, The Groupon Deal you are looking into includes frame, lenses and an eye exam for up to a value of $199. If you request for the contact lens portion of the exam as well this one will have an additional fee that can vary between $40 or $70 depending on the prescription on your contact lenses. With this prescription you can buy contact lenses with us for a year until the expiration of the exam. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely, McDonald

Luis F.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Hi Luis, Yes, that is correct. You will be paying the difference is you go over the voucher value. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely, McDonald

Q:

I'm interested in the deal that includes the eye exam? Does the deal include adding the prescription lenses to the glasses? Also, I have a brand new pair of glasses that need my prescription added on to them, would that be a possibility?

Luisa M.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Hi Luisa, Yes, the deal you are looking into does include the lenses to the frame of your selection. For this voucher, you would have to select a frame from us, however with your current frame we will be more than happy to offer you a discount. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact us. Sincerely, McDonald
