What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
All tools for the Intro to Upholstery class are provided. Students are encouraged to bring a notepad and pen and an eagerness to learn and get inspired!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Metamorphose Studios was started to fulfill my love of faux painting, upholstery, and recycling furniture.

What do you love most about your job?
I love all the aspects of my career—creating, designing, painting, upholstering, teaching, and building! I truly enjoy helping those with an excitement to learn, transforming furniture, and saving forgotten well-made hardwood pieces from landfills. [I love] doing more each day to lessen our carbon footprint.

About Metamorphose Studios

Jennifer Williams believes in the power of total transformation—at least when it comes to old furniture. At Metamorphose Studios, she rehabs old pieces and makes them attractive again with a little bit of elbow grease and a lot of experience in reupholstering. Williams also leads two-day workshops in which she walks students through the steps of rehabbing shabby old chairs into Pinterest-worthy works of art. Alternatively, old pieces can be dropped off at the studio where she'll overhaul them with the client's choice of fabric, finishes, and "property of" signage.
