Metro Karate Academy is 20 years old, but Sensei Anthony Rockwell has been studying the martial arts for even longer—30 years to be exact. This has given him plenty of time to amass numerous accolades in his craft, from a 7th-degree black belt to championship titles both locally and nationally. At the academy, he and his instructors teach American Tae Kwon Do to children and adults. Though physical fitness and the ability to chop jello molds in half come as bonuses, the teachers work mostly to build a sense of discipline and concentration in their students. In fact, they specifically recommend the martial art for those who battle ADHD or other attention disorders, as it can help cultivate better focus.
