What You'll Get
Internationally renowned string quartet Chiara performs a tribute to traditional Andean folk music in this concert at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Composer Gabriela Lena Frank pays homage to the music and culture of her native Peru with Leyendas: An Andean Walkabout, written specifically for Chiara. The group will also be contrasting the piece with Quartet No. 4 by Béla Bartók, a Hungarian composer whose passion for the folk music of various world cultures made him a pioneer in the world of ethnomusicology. Tickets include museum admission.
