What You'll Get
Welcome to Groupon, Regina! For our inaugural deal, $12 for $30 worth of Japanese cuisine at MICHI. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Regina: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (10 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in three months. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
The traditional method for preparing sushi requires slices of raw fish to be held over unlit fires in order to secure that signature “uncooked” flavour. Explore such innovative foodsmithing with today's Groupon: for $12, you get $30 worth of sushi and more at MICHI Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar on Scarth Street. A 10Best editors’ pick, MICHI rolls, chops, and grills authentic Japanese cuisine prepared by Japanese chefs that hail from Tokyo and Shizuoka, Japan. The multifarious menu of sushi and traditional Japanese dishes is complemented by a wine list handpicked to accent the signature soy-leaning flavours. Diners can choose a seat at the sushi bar to see the fresh fish flying, at a table for casual dining, or in a private, pillowed Japanese-style room where shoes and chairs are barred from entering due to long-standing restraining orders brought by litigious chopsticks.
- Great restaurant! Excellent sushi and wonderful, authentic Japanese cuisine. – Jason Grayston, Urbanspoon
- Spider roll is a MUST! Soft shelled crab...mmmmm The sushi is good quality as are all the appetizers i have tried. The gyoza and tempura are my favs but there's a spinach app I like. – gourmettravelmama, TripAdvisor

About Michi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar
Michi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar’s five chefs hail from Tokyo and the coastal town of Shizuoka, where they learned Japanese cooking skills using the freshest seafood. At Michi, they strive to uphold the same caliber of freshness, shipping in fish from Japan each morning to craft their menu of sushi, noodle soups, and tempura-battered delicacies.
The staff’s commitment to authentic Japanese cuisine extends beyond the kitchen. Hosts present oshibori, or hot towels, to guests so they can cleanse their hands before meals, and at the eight-seat sushi bar, dining companions gather around chefs who greet them with a traditional “arigato gozaimasu.” Behind Michi’s translucent screen doors, or shoji, barefoot diners perch atop cushions encircling low wooden tables eating with chopsticks to enjoy a reprieve from forks, knives, and musical spoons.
