Great atmoshphere for a small town brewery. Most of the beers are very good and they are always experimenting with new ones which I think is great. Service can be spotty at times. Most of the time it's super friendly and fast and on a few occasions it's been really bad. Food is ok. If they can improve in this area I think it will really help their business.

The beer is good and the food was decent but it would be nice and would probably draw in more customers if it had an actual kitchen with something other than quick bar food. We enjoyed our night there though.

Yummy sandwiches and the beer and wine samplers, all locally made, are a fun idea!

What You'll Get

Winston Churchill was famous for the high standards he applied to alcohol, quipping that "Liquor is quicker, but get me a single malt scotch with moon rocks in it! I'm the English president!" Be like Ol' Winnie with today's Groupon to Michigan Beer Cellar, located in Sparta. Michigan Beer Cellar distills 12 frosty artisan microbrews, wine, and a variety of liquors (rums, gins, brandys, etc) on site, then pairs them with scrumptious paninis, jam-packed wraps, and palate-pleasing cheese and crackers. Let a deluge of Beer Cellar’s hops-laden American IPA rain down upon taste buds, or slosh them with the deep flavors of Oatmeal Stout (all beers are $2.50 regular, $3.50 10 oz.) while your soul sack sinks into a comfy couch. Talk about drinks with the friendly, knowledgeable staff, or ask about the rest of Beer Cellar’s menu, featuring the turkey and salsa wrap ($5.49), the cheese quesadilla Panini ($4.49) and an assortment of cheeses and dips.

Though Michigan Beer Cellar is relatively new, ABC 13 featured the restaurant in its article about artisan distilleries in the area and Tasting West Michigan praised the brewery's American IPA. Owner Dan Humphrey was profiled along with Michigan Beer Cellar in the Rockford Independent. More than 450 Facebookers like Michigan Beer Cellar.

About Cellar Brewing Company

In addition to entertaining ears with live music, Cellar Brewing Company's dedicated staff fills glasses with libations fresh from its microbrewery, winery, and artisan distillery. The restaurant's plush, leather sofas sit beneath its rust-hued ceiling, and at a blond-wood bar, bartenders serve house brews and signature cocktails, mixed with their top-shelf liquors. A glass of stout awakens taste buds craving a darker brew, and the cellar's servers pluck bottles of Michigan Apple Delight wine directly from in-house wine trees.
