The event is held at the Harvey E. Kern Community Pavilion. Its proceeds go to Michigan’s Own Military & Space Museum and Charity Celebration.
2014 Michigan Bier Festival
Organized by local beer producer Frankenmuth Brewery, the Michigan Bier Festival takes over the Harvey E. Kern Community Pavilion with a one-day festival of craft lagers and ales and German-American culture. Samples of the brewery's seasonal varieties are poured into souvenir boots, rather than tin-foil stilettos, the more traditional option. In addition, food tents and a market with local Michigan vendors will be all-day attractions. Meanwhile, beats from a live DJ wash over the crowd. All of this sipping and dining also supports a good cause: proceeds go to benefit Michigan's Own Military & Space Museum and Southeast Michigan charities through Charity Celebration.
