After the pilot briefs guests on the aircraft's controls and flight mechanics, groups lift off from the tarmac at Potomac Airfield for a narrated tour above the Potomac River. Passengers listen to recorded audio on a provided iPod, soaking in historical facts and anecdotes as the pilot soars over Fort Washington, Mount Vernon, Marine Corps Base Quantico, and a nearby ship's graveyard. The pilot may also fly low over the escape route John Wilkes Booth followed after he assassinated President Lincoln.
At the end of the tour, participants celebrate successful flights with sips of champagne. Each flight is a group tour, and participants may be seated next to other customers.
